• PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• GRADOMETOR 480EC is a broad-spectrum termiticide formulated for the protection of timber, buildings, trees, fencing poles, and other wood-related materials against termite attack.

• It is also recommended for the treatment of termite nests, as well as termite management in lawns and gardens. Its versatile formulation provides effective control through contact, ingestion, and inhalation, making it suitable for both preventive and curative termite control programes.

• MODE OF ACTION
• GRADOMETOR 480EC contains Chlorpyrifos, a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide (IRAC Group 1B). It is a non-systemic insecticide that acts through direct contact, ingestion, and inhalation.

• Once termites are exposed, it disrupts the normal functioning of the nervous system, resulting in paralysis and death.

 TARGET USES & APPLICATION RATES

• PREPARATION OF SPRAY MIXTURE

1. Prepare a 1% aqueous solution by mixing:
2. 1 litre of GRADOMETOR 480EC in 50 litres of clean water.
3. Mix thoroughly before application and maintain agitation throughout spraying.

• APPLICATION GUIDELINES

• Buildings Under Construction

1. Spray construction timber thoroughly before installation.
2. Treat adjacent soil using 10 litres of prepared solution per linear metre.
3. Apply around foundations to a depth of 60 cm.

• Established Buildings

1. Dig trenches 60 cm deep around the outside of foundation walls.
2. Treat trenches using 10 litres of prepared solution per linear metre.
3. Drill holes 50 cm deep at 40 cm intervals along internal foundation walls and inject the prepared solution.

• Trees

• Drench the soil around the base of the tree using 10 litres of prepared solution per linear metre.

• Timber

• Mix 1 litre of GRADOMETOR 480EC in 20 litres of water.
• Spray timber thoroughly to the point of runoff.

• Fencing Poles

• Dip poles in the prepared solution (1 litre in 20 litres of water) for 30 minutes before installation.

• Termite Nests

1. Dig approximately 20 cm into the termite mound.
2. Pour the prepared 1% aqueous solution into the nest.
3. Replace the excavated soil after treatment.

• Lawns & Gardens

• Spray the affected soil using 2 litres of prepared solution per 10 square metres.
