• PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• VERDANT® 80SE is a selective post-emergence herbicide formulated for the effective control of broadleaf weeds in sorghum, lawns, maize, and millet.

• It provides reliable post-emergence weed control, reducing competition for nutrients, water, sunlight, and space, thereby promoting healthy crop growth and improved yields.

• MODE OF ACTION

• VERDANT® 80SE combines three active ingredients with complementary modes of action to provide effective broadleaf weed control.

1. Florasulam – Inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, preventing essential amino acid synthesis and stopping weed growth.
2. Carfentrazone – Disrupts plant cell membranes, causing rapid desiccation and death of susceptible weeds.
3. Fluroxypyr-meptyl – Mimics natural plant auxins, causing abnormal growth responses such as leaf curling, stem twisting, and eventual weed death.

TARGET CROPS, WEEDS & APPLICATION RATES

• PREPARATION OF SPRAY MIXTURE

1. Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water.
2. Add the recommended quantity of VERDANT® 80SE.
3. Stir thoroughly.
4. Add the remaining water while continuing to stir until a uniform spray mixture is obtained.
5. Maintain agitation throughout spraying.

• APPLICATION TIMING

• Apply VERDANT® 80SE post-emergence to both the crop and the weeds.

• For optimum results:
• Apply when the crop has 3 fully unfolded leaves up to 6–9 detectable nodes.
• Treat weeds at the 2–4 leaf stage, when they are actively growing.
